CM Revanth Reddy announces minority degree colleges with AI training in Telangana

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday announced that the government would establish minority degree colleges in unified district headquarters across Telangana.

The institutions will focus on skill development and Artificial Intelligence training. Revanth Reddy said minority students should receive education that improves employment and livelihood opportunities instead of depending only on conventional courses.

The Chief Minister reviewed the Minority Welfare Department at the Secretariat on Friday evening. During the meeting, he directed officials to strengthen employment-oriented education for minority students.

He also instructed officials to introduce incentive schemes for meritorious minority students. The incentives will match benefits already available for BC, SC and ST students. In addition, he asked the department to prepare a dedicated programme for the initiative.

Further, Revanth Reddy directed officials to identify minority candidates selected for Group-1, Group-2 and Group-3 services. He said interested candidates should take up responsibilities in the Minority Welfare Department. According to him, the initiative will help them understand departmental administration and welfare programmes.
