Hyderabad: The Telangana government has stepped up measures to increase state revenue and curb revenue losses to meet budget targets for the current financial year.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu chaired a high-level meeting of the Resource Mobilization Cabinet Sub-Committee on Friday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat.
Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu, who are members of the committee, also attended the meeting.
Officials and ministers reviewed additional income-generation opportunities and assessed the performance of major departments.
Bhatti Vikramarka directed departments to align revenue collections with the proposed budget estimates for the 2026-27 financial year. He instructed officials to fully utilise all available revenue streams and stop revenue losses affecting government income.
He also directed departments to follow fixed timelines and calendar schedules to improve collections. In addition, he stressed the importance of weekly Friday review meetings and instructed senior officials to attend without fail.

The Deputy Chief Minister said officials unable to attend physically should participate through video conference.
Meanwhile, Uttam Kumar Reddy instructed authorities to take strict action against illegal activities causing losses to the state exchequer.
Officials informed the committee that revised land market values and registration charges would come into effect across Telangana from May 28 following earlier Cabinet decisions. They said the revision would increase revenue for the Registration Department.
The officials also informed ministers that authorities had finalised the HILT Policy Guidelines related to the Industries Department. Government orders linked to the policy would be issued shortly.
The ministers reviewed present revenue performance and future targets of departments including MA&UD, HMDA, Industries, Registrations, Mining, Revenue and Transport.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, R&B Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Mines Principal Secretary Sridhar, Revenue Secretary Lokesh Kumar, TGIIC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Shashank and other senior officials attended the meeting.
