Hyderabad: Minister for Prohibition & Excise, Tourism and Archaeology Jupally Krishna Rao on Friday released the official brochure for the 107th Annual National Conference and Seminar on Numismatics at the Secretariat.
The Department of Heritage, Telangana, organised the conference in collaboration with the Numismatic Society of India (NSI). It is the first time Telangana has hosted this prestigious national meet since the state’s formation. The event aims to highlight the state’s cultural and historical importance through the academic study of coinage.
The two-day conference will be held on December 11 and 12 at the Dr MCR HRD Institute in Jubilee Hills.
Students, scholars, researchers and numismatic experts from across the country will attend the sessions. They will share insights on the historical, artistic and cultural relevance of coins, encouraging research and academic discussion in the field.
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary (YAT&C); Professor Arjun Rao Kuthadi, Director, Department of Heritage; and Deputy Directors Dr D. Ramulu and Dr P. Nagaraju were also present at the brochure launch.
