Hyderabad: BRS working president KTR attacks BJP Congress over what he described as their failure to put Telangana’s interests ahead of their national leadership. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, he criticised leaders of both parties over their conduct during visits by national leaders. Several leaders joined the BRS at the event.
KTR alleged that Bandi Sanjay behaved like a bodyguard during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Hyderabad. He urged Sanjay not to compromise the dignity of Karimnagar people. KTR also accused Priyanka Gandhi’s security personnel of pushing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aside during her visit.
The BRS leader questioned BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao for touching Amit Shah’s feet. He alleged that leaders from both national parties failed to defend Telangana’s interests. According to KTR, the BJP and Congress would continue to serve their leadership in Delhi or Gujarat.
KTR attacks BJP Congress over Telangana’s interests
KTR described Congress leaders as people who carried bags for their national leaders. He said BJP leaders carried footwear for theirs. The BRS working president also questioned Amit Shah’s contribution to Telangana.
He asked whether the Centre had sanctioned a metro project, a national project or an educational institution for the state. His criticism also covered Revanth Reddy’s frequent visits to Delhi.
KTR said the Chief Minister travelled to the national capital twice a week. He called Revanth an “EMI Chief Minister” and accused him of placing political interests above Telangana’s needs.
Comparing Revanth’s appointment to making forest destroyer Veerappan the Forest Minister, KTR criticised the Chief Minister’s leadership. He also called him a land broker over the proposed sale of government land.
On the Miyapur land dispute, KTR said the previous Congress government had allowed encroachment. He claimed the BRS government appointed a senior advocate to contest the case.
The BRS leader said the Supreme Court had recently ruled that the disputed land belonged to the government. He alleged that Revanth announced plans to sell it immediately after the verdict.
KTR attacks BJP Congress leaders over their positions on Telangana, while also warning industrialists against purchasing land covered by the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy (HILTP). He claimed KCR would return within a year and cautioned buyers against relying on government assurances.
The BRS working president said his party would return to power and stop the alleged land deals. He proposed using the 550 acres in Miyapur for public purposes instead of selling them.
Under his proposal, 200 acres would go towards housing for poor families. KTR suggested allocating another 100 acres to martyrs and 100 acres to Telangana movement activists. He proposed using the remaining land for schools and colleges.
