KP Vivekanand asks BRS leaders to ensure error-free voter list revision

Hyderabad: BRS LP whip and Qutbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekanand asked party leaders and booth-level agents to remain alert and ensure an error-free voter list revision process.

He attended an awareness meeting on the Special Intensive Revision programme held at Adarsh Nagar Community Hall in Ranga Reddy Nagar division of Qutbullapur constituency.

The programme was organised following directions from BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Meanwhile, Vivekanand explained the guidelines, procedures and importance of the Special Intensive Revision programme to party leaders and BLAs.

He said the Election Commission was conducting the exercise based on the 2002 population data.

According to the MLA, the programme aimed to identify genuine voters, remove duplicate and permanently migrated voters and detect fake entries in electoral rolls.

He also said officials would map family voters, include new voters and correct errors through the exercise.

Vivekanand urged leaders, BLAs, welfare association representatives, senior citizens and youth to treat the process as a responsibility and create awareness among the public.

He asked party leaders to coordinate with officials and ensure proper implementation of the revision process.

The MLA also discussed the BRS membership drive planned under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao.

He explained future plans related to party strengthening and formation of new committees.

Former corporator Vijay Shekhar Goud, former division president Erva Shankaraiah, division general secretary Sudhakar, senior leaders, women leaders and members of affiliated organisations attended the meeting.
