Hyderabad: Mahavir International Secunderabad announced two fundraising events whose net proceeds would support its education, healthcare and skill development initiatives.
The organisation scheduled the spiritual concert “Jaikaar” for October 2, 2026, and the Dandiya Ras event “Jalsa 5.0” for October 3. Both Mahavir International events would be held at Hitex in Hyderabad.
The organisers said the programmes formed part of the organisation’s continuing efforts to support community welfare and social development. The proceeds would help extend its social service activities to more beneficiaries.
“Jaikaar” would begin at 6.01 pm on October 2 and feature devotional singer Nikhar Juneja. Meanwhile, “Jalsa 5.0” would feature Mumbai-based vocalist Sharad Lashkari and his band on October 3.
Mahavir International events combine music with fundraising
Mahavir International Secunderabad Chairperson Veena Ostwal, Secretary Rachana Chopra and Treasurer Mitesh Mehta disclosed the details at a press interaction. Event Convener Paresh Shah also participated in the interaction.
They said the programmes had not been conceived merely as entertainment events. Instead, the organisers planned to combine cultural celebrations with a broader social purpose. Juneja is a contemporary devotional singer, composer, songwriter, performer and music producer. He blends traditional bhakti music with contemporary arrangements.
According to the organisers, Juneja had around 2.4 million YouTube subscribers and about 2.5 million Instagram followers. His videos had recorded about 500 million views. His devotional tracks included “Shiv Shankar Adiyogi”, “Shankar Santaap Mitaye”, “Kailash Ke Niwasi”, “Shiv Vaani” and “Hanuman Chalisa – Powerful & Fast”.
Lashkari had performed at more than 3,000 live shows in India and overseas, the organisers said. His performances covered Bollywood, retro, Sufi and festive music. He had also performed extensively at Navratri and Dandiya celebrations. According to the organisers, Lashkari had performed before audiences in more than 10 countries.
“Jaikaar and Jalsa bring together spirituality, music, celebration and seva. Our endeavour is to create memorable experiences for the community while ensuring that the proceeds contribute meaningfully towards education, healthcare and skill development. We invite citizens to participate and support the cause,” the organisers said.
They said “Jaikaar” would offer an evening centred on spiritual music and devotion. In contrast, “Jalsa 5.0” would bring a Dandiya Ras celebration to the city. The organisers expected both Mahavir International events to attract families, community members and enthusiasts of music and cultural programmes.
Tickets for the two programmes were available through BookMyShow. SPM Cables, Bharti Cement, Holiday Bazaar, Shree TMT, Jain Constructions and Vaishnavi Group supported the events.
