Dussehra holidays announced for schools from 10th to 22nd

Hyderabad: Dussehra holidays have been finalized for schools, with a 13-day break scheduled from 10th to 22nd of this month. Schools will reopen on the 23rd after the Dussehra holidays.

Currently, schools are conducting Summative Assessment-1 examinations. The exams will continue until 9th of this month, according to the source.

However, officials have suggested a change to the Class 9 examination schedule on 9th. The English examination scheduled for that day will be conducted from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Junior colleges will also observe Dussehra holidays from 10th of this month. However, their vacation will continue only until the 21st, making it a 12-day break.

Dussehra holidays differ for schools and junior colleges

Junior colleges will resume classes on the 22nd after their holidays. Schools, meanwhile, will remain closed until the 22nd and reopen on the 23rd.

The schedules therefore differ by one day between schools and junior colleges. Students and parents will need to note the separate reopening dates for the two categories.

The source stated that the school holiday schedule had been finalized alongside the ongoing examination programme. Summative Assessment-1 exams will conclude before the Dussehra break begins.
