Hyderabad: Amid continuous heavy rainfall, Nirmal District Collector Abhilash Abhinav inspected the Swarna project on Wednesday evening and directed all key departments to take preventive action.
She reached the site around 6 PM after officials reported rising flood levels. Speaking to the media, the Collector said no local resident should face inconvenience due to the water flow. She ordered the Revenue, Irrigation, Municipal, Panchayat Raj, and Health departments to remain on alert and take advance measures.

The Collector stressed the need for district-wide preparedness. She instructed officials to monitor flood-prone zones closely and act without delay if risks increase.
Later, as a safety precaution, she declared Thursday a holiday for all government and private educational institutions in the district. The decision followed weather updates and was aimed at protecting students.
