Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to provide financial assistance to Telangana activists’ families from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and under the Telangana martyrs’ quota.
The government approved ₹10 lakh from the CMRF for the family of late Lingala Kedari and his wife, late Pushpalatha. The couple lived in Shantinagar, Postal Colony, in Hanamkonda and had actively participated in the Telangana statehood movement. Kedari died on September 9, 2026, while Pushpalatha died the following day, on September 10.
Following the sanction, Revanth Reddy instructed the Hanamkonda District Collector to complete the required administrative procedures quickly. He directed officials to ensure that the sanctioned assistance reached the couple’s eligible legal heirs without delay.
Telangana activists’ families received separate aid approvals
In another decision concerning Telangana activists’ families, the Chief Minister approved ₹5 lakh in humanitarian assistance for Mandala Raju’s family. The government sanctioned the assistance under the Telangana martyrs’ quota.
Raju, 34, went missing during the Telangana statehood agitation on June 20, 2013. He was the son of Mandala Sammireddy of Gorlaveedu village in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district. The government approved the assistance after Bhupalapally MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao submitted a representation on behalf of Raju’s family.
The two decisions provided separate financial assistance to Telangana activists’ families affected by deaths and a disappearance connected with the statehood movement.
