Hyderabad: Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will lead a high-level State delegation to Chintan Shivir 2026 in Gujarat.
The two-day national workshop will begin Monday at Ekta Nagar, near the Statue of Unity. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will organise the event under Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
R&B Ministers and senior officials from across the country are expected to participate in the workshop. Five sessions will be held during the programme on October 5 and 6.
The discussions will focus on PM Gati Shakti and improving coordination between the Centre and States. Meanwhile, the workshop will provide a platform to discuss infrastructure projects involving multiple government agencies.
R&B Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj will accompany Komatireddy at the national workshop. Chief Engineers B.V. Rao, Dharma Reddy and Vasanth Naik will also be part of the Telangana delegation.
The State team will also use the visit for discussions on major road and infrastructure proposals. Komatireddy is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Nitin Gadkari on key projects involving Telangana.
The minister is expected to seek Centre support for several priority road networks during the bilateral meeting. The agenda will include the Regional Ring Road, National Highway 65 expansion and the LB Nagar double-decker elevated corridor.
Chintan Shivir 2026 agenda includes key Telangana projects
Another major proposal on the agenda is the planned Bharat Future City–Amaravati Greenfield Highway. The delegation will seek progress on clearances and funding linked to these infrastructure initiatives.
Following directions from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana team will press for faster movement on pending requirements. The delegation will focus on securing the necessary clearances and funding allocations from the Centre.
PM Gati Shakti will remain a central theme of the national workshop. The programme is also expected to bring State infrastructure departments together for discussions on coordination and project implementation.
For Telangana, the discussions will centre on road connectivity and the advancement of major infrastructure proposals. The State delegation will present its priorities during the workshop and bilateral discussions.
Komatireddy’s participation comes with senior R&B officials who are directly associated with the department’s infrastructure planning. Their presence is expected to support detailed discussions on the State’s proposed road projects.
