Uttam urges engineers to ensure irrigation access to tail-end farmers

Hyderabad: Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday urged state engineers to align their fieldwork with government priorities and ensure that irrigation access is improved so that water reaches farmers at the tail-end of ayacuts. By focusing efforts on how engineers manage irrigation access, the minister aims to support more efficient water distribution.

He made the remarks after releasing the Hyderabad Engineers Association’s annual diary at Kundanbagh. The association thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Minister for granting impartial and transparent promotions for the first time to 343 engineers from Deputy Executive Engineer to Engineer-in-Chief — based strictly on seniority.
