Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Jaju on Tuesday assumed charge as Sanjay Jaju Chief Secretary of the Telangana government at the State Secretariat. The 1992-batch officer succeeded K. Ramakrishna Rao, who retired after attaining superannuation.
The state government issued orders on June 26 appointing Jaju to the top administrative post after his repatriation from Central services.

Senior officials welcomed Jaju at the Secretariat after he assumed office. Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and heads of various departments congratulated him on his appointment.
Officials and Secretariat staff also felicitated outgoing Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and acknowledged his services to the state administration. Meanwhile, the government appointed Ramakrishna Rao as Advisor and Ex-Officio Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister following his retirement.
