Murder case booked after Hyderabad advocate dies in car attack

Hyderabad: Police registered a murder case after advocate Khaja Moizuddin died in a suspected car attack near Masab Tank in Hyderabad on Saturday morning.

According to investigators, the incident occurred when Moizuddin approached his parked vehicle outside his residence. At that moment, a car allegedly hit him from behind with force and fled from the area.

The advocate suffered severe injuries in the incident. Family members and locals shifted him to a hospital, where he later died during treatment.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage linked to the incident surfaced on social media. Initially, police treated the matter as a hit-and-run case. However, officials later converted it into a murder investigation after examining preliminary evidence.

Hyderabad advocate murder sparks allegations against ruling party leader

Police formed special teams to trace the unidentified accused involved in the incident. Investigators are currently analysing CCTV footage and collecting evidence from nearby areas.

Family members alleged the involvement of ruling party member Alam Khan in the killing. Moizuddin’s son Farhan claimed his father had fought several legal cases related to alleged encroachments on Waqf Board properties.

According to Farhan, the advocate had survived five earlier attacks in the past. He also alleged that the accused had issued threats to his father nearly six months ago.

Farhan appealed to the Telangana Government to provide protection to the family after the incident. Police continued the investigation into the Hyderabad advocate murder case on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi visited the residence of the senior advocate and offered condolences to the bereaved family. He demanded that the government immediately arrest the assailants and the alleged key conspirator behind the killing.
