Telangana Cabinet approves junior college meals, Pushkaralu funds and jobs

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet approved midday meals for junior colleges, sanctioned funds for 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu and cleared several recruitment proposals across the state during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday.

The Cabinet discussed multiple welfare, education and infrastructure issues before taking key decisions. Along with schools, the government also decided to provide breakfast and milk to students studying in junior colleges.

In another major decision, the Cabinet approved Rs 1,000 crore for works related to the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu. The government also cleared the release of Rs 300 crore in the first phase for the proposed works.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Cabinet decisions also brought relief to unemployed youth. The government approved recruitment proposals for the degree college at Gangadhara in Karimnagar district.

Authorities received approval for 20 regular teaching posts and six non-teaching posts at the college. In addition, the Cabinet sanctioned three outsourcing posts for the institution.

The Cabinet also approved 18 posts for the fire station at K. Samudram in Mahabubabad district. Officials said the sanctioned posts would strengthen emergency and fire services in the region.

The meeting took place under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and focused on proposals connected to welfare, education and public infrastructure.
