Bhavani Nagar police arrest accused in murder case

Hyderabad: Police arrested a 19-year-old accused in the Bhavani Nagar murder case following the death of a youth after an assault in Talabkatta.

Police identified the accused as Mohd Mudassir, a resident of Bhavani Nagar. They said he worked at a beef shop.

The victim, Syed Abdul Khadir Ali, 21, worked at a fast food centre and also drove an auto. He lived in Shaheen Nagar in Ranga Reddy district.

According to police, the incident occurred on April 13. The victim had stepped out to bring an auto for a family visit to a cemetery.

Later, relatives found him lying injured near a mosque in Talabkatta. They shifted him to a hospital, where doctors noted internal injuries.

Police said the victim died during treatment, leading to a case under relevant sections. The case formed part of the Bhavani Nagar murder case investigation.

Quarrel led to Bhavani Nagar murder case

Police said the incident began with a dispute near a pan shop. The accused allegedly picked a quarrel after an exchange of looks.

Despite intervention by the shop owner, the argument continued. Soon after, the accused allegedly attacked the victim.

He reportedly punched the victim on the chest, neck, and head. As a result, the victim fell and suffered serious internal injuries.

Following the incident, police launched an investigation and gathered evidence. They later traced and apprehended the accused on April 16.

Officials produced the accused before a court. Senior officers supervised the operation and commended the police team for the arrest.
