GHMC targets one lakh SHGs under 99 Days Progress Plan

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan directed officials to establish one lakh SHGs within city limits under the 99 Days Progress Plan.

He issued the instructions during a review meeting held at the GHMC headquarters on Friday. UCD Additional Commissioner Shankarayya and 30 project officers attended the meeting.

Karnan said each circle must meet fixed targets to achieve the one lakh SHGs goal. He instructed every project officer to form 10,000 new women’s groups.

Further, he directed that each Resource Person should establish 250 women’s groups. He also set a monthly target for faster implementation.

Targets set to achieve one lakh SHGs

The Commissioner said that during April, each Resource Person must form 100 new women’s groups. He stressed the need for strict monitoring of progress.

He also asked officials to ensure timely completion of the targets. According to him, coordinated efforts were essential for success.

Officials were told to review progress regularly and address delays. The plan aimed to strengthen women’s self-help networks across the city.
