Shabbir Ali says welfare-driven development guides Telangana government

Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the state government is pursuing a welfare-driven development model to fulfil public aspirations and honour the sacrifices made during the Telangana statehood movement.

Addressing Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Adilabad on Tuesday, Shabbir Ali said the government is ensuring that welfare schemes, development projects and public services reach people at the grassroots level. He added that officials are implementing programmes in a transparent and time-bound manner.

He said development becomes meaningful only when benefits reach farmers, women, students, workers, poor families, minorities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes. He also paid tributes to Telangana martyrs and recalled the sacrifices made during the statehood movement.

Shabbir Ali said the government launched the 99-day Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika programme from March 6 to June 12. The initiative focuses on sanitation, health, education, welfare, road safety, women’s empowerment and environmental protection.
