Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner conducted a field-level civic review in Bandari Layout Ward under the One Ward Every Day programme. Officials recorded residents’ concerns and received directions to address the issues on priority.
The inspection covered Bandari Layout in Nizampet Circle of Quthbullapur Zone. The Zonal Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Circle officials joined the Commissioner during the visit. Officials from the departments concerned and representatives of Residents’ Welfare Associations also participated.
Residents raised several neighbourhood concerns during the field review. These included roads, streetlights, sanitation, parks, drainage and encroachments. In addition, officials noted other local civic issues that required follow-up and action.
One Ward Every Day review focuses on follow-up
The Commissioner directed officials to record every issue raised during the One Ward Every Day programme. Subsequently, the departments concerned were asked to review the complaints separately based on their areas of responsibility.
Officials were directed to take up identified problems on priority. Moreover, teams were asked to coordinate with other line departments wherever such intervention was required.
The Commissioner instructed the departments to ensure timely action on the civic concerns recorded during the field visit. The exercise brought municipal officials, departmental teams and RWA representatives together for a direct review of neighbourhood problems in Bandari Layout Ward.
