Etala writes to MMC commissioner seeking streetlights on Ghatkesar-Keesara road

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender wrote to MMC Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy seeking installation of streetlights on the Ghatkesar-Keesara road.

The MP acted after members of the Ghatkesar Democratic Senior Citizens Welfare Association met him recently and raised concerns over the lack of lighting on the stretch.

Association members informed the MP that several road accidents were occurring during the night due to the absence of streetlights on the Ghatkesar road.

They also pointed out that a large number of devotees travelled on the route to visit the Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy temple at Keesaragutta.

According to the association, poor visibility on the road created difficulties for motorists and increased accident risks, especially during night hours.

Ghatkesar-Keesara road safety concerns raised

Following their request, Etala Rajender sent a letter to the MMC commissioner asking authorities to install streetlights on the road at the earliest.

The MP urged officials to address the issue to improve safety for commuters and devotees travelling towards Keesaragutta temple.
