Kishan Reddy expresses anger over delay in Malakpet railway station works

Hyderabad: Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy expressed serious displeasure over the slow pace of modernisation works at Malakpet railway station during a surprise inspection on Saturday.

The minister reviewed the ongoing development works taken up under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme at one of Hyderabad’s major railway stations.

During the inspection, Kishan Reddy examined platform improvement works, passenger waiting halls, lifts, escalators, sanitation facilities, and expansion of station entry points.

He found that the progress of works had fallen short of expectations. Consequently, the minister strongly reprimanded the contractor and directed officials to complete the project within the stipulated deadline.
