Hyderabad: The Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni, Dr. Buddaprakash Jyoti set a coal dispatch target Sathupalli CHP of up to 50,000 tonnes per day during a review meeting held on Friday.
The Singareni Chairman and Managing Director directed officials to ensure full-capacity coal transportation from the Sathupalli Coal Handling Plant.
He instructed that daily dispatch should be maintained between 45,000 and 50,000 tonnes. Furthermore, he asked officials to resolve technical bottlenecks affecting operations.
Coal dispatch target Sathupalli tied to capacity optimisation
During the meeting at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad, the CMD reviewed operations at the JVR Coal Handling Plant. The facility currently handles over 10 million tonnes annually.
He directed teams to address issues in coal bunkers and ensure seamless coal evacuation. He emphasised that efficient dispatch was essential to meet production goals.
Officials informed the CMD that production targets were set at 11 million tonnes for JVR-2 Opencast Mine. Additionally, Kishtaram Opencast Mine has a target of 2.4 million tonnes.
The CMD also reviewed progress at the Naini Coal Block in Odisha. He set a production and transportation target of 6 million tonnes for the current financial year.
He directed officials to resolve logistical challenges and coordinate with local authorities. Meanwhile, he suggested interim road transport to nearby railway sidings until corridor construction is completed.
Area General Manager Chintala Srinivas briefed the CMD on steps taken to utilise the CHP fully. General Manager Baidya explained arrangements for coal transport and manpower requirements.
Senior officials, including directors and executive staff, attended the review meeting.
