Bhatti Vikramarka inspects JVR open cast coal mine at Sathupalli

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday conducted a detailed inspection of the Jalgam Vengala Rao (JVR) open cast coal mine at Sathupalli in Khammam district. The visit included a review of coal extraction processes. Additionally, he examined safety measures and dispatch operations, as Bhatti Vikramarka inspects the JVR mine for efficient functioning.

Accompanied by senior officials, Bhatti first observed the mine from the viewpoint. He then entered the site for a ground-level inspection. He enquired in detail about the structure and operation of the open cast mine. The questions included the number of layers, extraction methods, and types of coal being produced.

Power, staffing, and dispatch systems under review

The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the 24-hour operational logistics of the mine. As Bhatti Vikramarka inspects JVR mine operations, he sought information on power supply arrangements and the number of vehicles in use. Moreover, he asked about the composition of permanent and contract staff and the wage disbursement system.

He further asked about the prevailing market price of coal. In addition, he enquired about the safety protocols in place, especially during coal loading and transportation.

Following the site visit, Bhatti toured the coal dispatch centre. There, he reviewed dispatch procedures and collected information about the regions receiving coal from the facility, which was crucial as he inspects JVR mine operations.

MLA Katta Raghmayi, SCCL CMD Krishna Bhaskar, Khammam Collector Anudeep Durishetty, and Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt were among the officials present during the inspection.
