Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police on Thursday enforced traffic diversions between Malakpet Fire Station and Yadagiri Theatre in Santosh Nagar due to elevated corridor construction. Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis said the diversions will remain in force for 60 days.
Traffic police closed one side of the road from Saidabad Y Junction towards Dobi Ghat to carry out the works. As a result, officials expect traffic congestion in nearby areas. Therefore, police advised commuters travelling from Nalgonda X Road towards Owaisi Junction (DMRL Junction) to take alternative routes.
Officials also warned motorists that traffic from Nalgonda X Road towards Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan will face restrictions during the construction period.
Hyderabad traffic diversions near Malakpet stretch
Traffic police diverted four-wheelers and heavy vehicles at Saidabad Y Junction. These vehicles must turn left towards the South East Zone DCP office. They should then proceed via Shankeshwar Bazaar, take a right turn at the HP petrol bunk, and a left near Onus Hospital. After that, motorists must take a U-turn on Champapet main road to reach IS Sadan through Champapet X Road.
Meanwhile, traffic police diverted two-wheelers and three-wheelers from Chanchalguda towards Champapet at Saidabad Y Junction. Riders must turn left towards the South East Zone DCP office. Next, they should turn right at the 105 bus stop, take another right at Laxminagar, and proceed via Vinay Nagar and Bharat Garden towards IS Sadan and Champapet main road.
In addition, RTC buses travelling from Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet will operate via Nalgonda X Road. These buses must take a U-turn at Gaddiannaram. They should then turn right near Saroornagar Lake and proceed through Shankeshwar Bazaar, Singareni Colony, and Onus Hospital.
Further, traffic police diverted all inter-district RTC buses from MGBS and Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet. These services will run via Nalgonda X Road, Malakpet Ganj, Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet, and LB Nagar junction.
