Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan reviewed Nalgonda Flyover works and directed officials to complete the remaining ramps within three days for the proposed inauguration.
Karnan, accompanied by the Chief Engineer, Assistant Commissioner for Sanitation and other GHMC officials, inspected the flyover and Moosarambagh Bridge works.
The main Nalgonda Flyover had already been completed. However, work remained on the A4 up-ramp and the A3 side ramp towards Champapet.
The Commissioner directed officials to complete the A4 up-ramp by Sunday. He also ordered completion of the A3 side ramp towards Champapet within two to three days. Completion of these remaining components would clear the way for the flyover’s inauguration.
Nalgonda Flyover works to ease traffic
Once operational, the flyover was expected to provide significant relief to commuters travelling through several busy areas. The Nalgonda Flyover works would benefit traffic moving through Chanchalguda, Saidabad, Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan.
In addition, commuters travelling towards Owaisi Hospital, Kanchan Bagh, Champapet and Sagar Road were expected to benefit from the new infrastructure. During the inspection, Karnan also reviewed the Moosarambagh Bridge, where construction work had been completed.
The completed bridge strengthened an important connectivity corridor linking Amberpet with Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar and Nagole. Following the inspection, the Commissioner instructed GHMC officials to keep all necessary arrangements ready for the inauguration of the Moosarambagh Bridge.
The inspection focused on the readiness of both infrastructure projects and the remaining work required before they could be opened.
