Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner reviewed the progress of Nalgonda Flyover works and Moosarambagh Downstream Bridge construction and directed officials to complete both projects within one month.
The Commissioner conducted an inspection along with the Chief Engineer, Zonal Commissioner and engineering officials to assess the status of the ongoing infrastructure projects.
During the visit, officials briefed the Commissioner on construction progress and pending works at both locations.
He instructed the engineering teams to accelerate the remaining works and ensure timely completion to provide relief to daily commuters.
Nalgonda Flyover works nearing completion
Officials informed the Commissioner that the Nalgonda Flyover consists of 85 spans.
The project team completed deck slab works for 79 spans and erected girders across all 85 spans.
Meanwhile, construction of the up ramp and down ramp is progressing simultaneously.
The Commissioner reviewed the pace of work and directed officials to maintain construction schedules without delays.
According to officials, the project will significantly improve traffic flow and connectivity in the surrounding areas after completion.
Nalgonda Flyover works and bridge project reviewed
At the Moosarambagh Downstream Bridge site, officials reported completion of the bottom slab between the A2 and P4 spans.
They also informed the Commissioner that staging works for the final span between P3 and P4 were in progress.
Furthermore, retaining wall construction was underway on the Amberpet side of the bridge.
The Commissioner emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to complete both projects within the stipulated timeline.
He said the projects would improve connectivity, reduce traffic congestion and enhance commuter convenience across the city.
