Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the government had launched the Telangana 3 trillion economy vision under the Telangana Rising 2047 initiative. He said the State aimed to become a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He added that the government targeted a $1 trillion economy within the next five years.
Addressing a meeting of the Indian Overseas Congress in the United States, Bhatti Vikramarka said the government pursued a development model that placed welfare and development at the centre of governance.
He said Telangana had adopted a new economic framework with three development zones. These include Core Urban (CURE), Peri-Urban (PURE) and Rural Agri (RARE). According to the Deputy Chief Minister, the framework would ensure balanced and sustainable growth across the State.
Telangana 3 trillion economy vision centres on future growth
Bhatti Vikramarka said the government was developing Bharat Future City at Mucherla. He said the city would become Telangana’s fourth major urban centre after Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad.
He said the government planned the project as a pollution-free, net-zero city. Moreover, he said the project would play a key role in the State’s long-term economic transformation.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government was working to position Telangana as a global investment destination. It planned to achieve the goal through modern infrastructure and long-term economic initiatives.
Furthermore, Bhatti Vikramarka outlined the government’s development programmes and future plans before overseas delegates and Non-Resident Indians. He also urged them to partner with the government in advancing the Telangana 3 trillion economy vision.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, MLAs T. Ram Mohan Reddy, Rakesh Reddy, Kale Yadaiah, Donthi Madhava Reddy and Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Vijaya Dairy Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy, Congress leader Hanumantha Jhansi Reddy and leaders of the Indian Overseas Congress attended the meeting.
