Hyderabad: A 25-year-old youth suffered severe injuries in a Dornakal train accident on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred near the second platform of Dornakal railway station on the route towards Khammam.
According to local residents, the youth was identified as Naren, 25, from Rai village in Madhya Pradesh. He accidentally fell under a train while travelling along the Khammam-bound route near the station.
The accident left both of Naren’s legs severely crushed. Meanwhile, people at the railway station alerted emergency services after noticing the injured youth.
The 108 emergency medical team responded quickly and reached the accident site. EMT Shameena and pilot Nunavath Prashanth attended to Naren at the railway station.
The medical staff provided first aid at the scene before arranging further treatment. As a result, they shifted the injured youth to the Mahabubabad District General Hospital.
