The Commissioner, along with the Zonal Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, met residents, resident welfare associations and community representatives during the visit.
Residents from Kailash Hills, Mahadevpuram, Shirdi Hills, Balaiah Nagar, Yandamuri Layout, PNR Oasis, Praga Tools Colony, Ravi Narayana Reddy Nagar, Kaiser Nagar and nearby localities highlighted several concerns.
They sought improvements in CC and BT roads, footpaths, streetlights, electric poles, parks and stormwater drains. Residents also raised issues related to stormwater drainage connectivity towards Pariki Cheruvu. In addition, they sought solutions for pending building permission and LRS matters. They further requested authorities to remove encroachments affecting road connectivity and public access.
One Ward Every Day focuses on civic infrastructure and sanitation
Residents highlighted the need to strengthen sanitation services on internal colony roads. They also sought enhanced fogging and mosquito-control measures ahead of the monsoon season.
Meanwhile, several participants urged the corporation to remove water hyacinth from Pariki Cheruvu. They also requested measures to prevent sewage inflow into the lake and improve environmental conditions. The Commissioner directed the concerned departments to examine the issues and coordinate with field teams.
Furthermore, she instructed officials to take up priority works in a phased manner. The civic body aims to improve infrastructure and public amenities through direct interaction with residents.
Additionally, officials said the initiative helps identify local issues quickly and improve service delivery. Through regular field visits and public engagement, the One Ward Every Day programme continues to strengthen civic services across Cyberabad.
