Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner (CMC) G Srijana conducted a field inspection in KPHB Colony under Kukatpally Circle and reviewed KPHB Colony civic issues raised by resident welfare associations.
The visit took place as part of the “One Ward Every Day” programme. The Commissioner inspected localities along with the Zonal Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and other officials.
During the interaction at a local playground, RWAs highlighted several civic concerns. Residents complained about nuisance caused by hostels and roadside cooking activities. They also raised concerns over indiscriminate parking on internal roads.
Residents further pointed to footpath encroachments affecting pedestrian movement and delays in executing development works worth ₹30 lakh under the MP-LADS programme.
KPHB Colony civic issues highlighted during inspection
The Commissioner inspected internal roads and lanes along with RWA representatives. Officials identified footpath encroachments between the Maifil Hotel stretch and Indu Projects area.
The inspection also focused on improving traffic discipline and better management of public spaces in the colony.
Officials stressed the importance of source segregation under Solid Waste Management Rules 2026. The Commissioner directed departments to establish dry leaf composting units in parks.
Authorities also discussed a weekly collection system for bulk waste, including discarded furniture and thermocol material.
The Commissioner instructed all concerned departments to prioritise pending works and submit Action Taken Reports.
During the visit, officials encouraged RWAs to actively participate in civic improvement activities. Residents were also asked to take part in Census 2027 self-enumeration.
