Hyderabad: ACB raids targeted Land and Survey Deputy Director Narahari after the Anti-Corruption Bureau launched searches over allegations that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
ACB teams began extensive inspections at multiple locations linked to the official. The searches covered Narahari’s residence, offices and properties connected to his relatives and close associates.
Officials carried out simultaneous operations at nearly 10 locations in and around Hyderabad. The bureau initiated the action after receiving information about alleged accumulation of assets beyond his official income.
ACB raids focus on disproportionate assets allegations
During the searches, investigators examined land documents, bank account records and papers related to cash and gold holdings. Officials also scrutinised financial records and other documents connected to the case.
Meanwhile, ACB teams continued the searches at various locations. The bureau has not yet released details of the assets identified during the operation. Officials are expected to assess the value of the assets after completing the searches. Subsequently, the ACB may disclose the findings and the estimated market value of the assets through an official statement.
