Hyderabad: The One ward every day initiative continued on Wednesday with Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G. Srijana conducting an extensive inspection of Pudur-Kistapur Ward in Medchal Circle of Quthbullapur Zone.
The Commissioner reviewed civic infrastructure and interacted directly with residents to understand local concerns and development requirements. Deputy Commissioners and officials from various departments participated in the field visit.
During the inspection, residents raised several issues related to roads, drinking water supply, sewerage infrastructure, lake protection and public amenities.
Citizens highlighted the need for improved connectivity, stronger water infrastructure and better civic services to meet the demands of the growing population.
One ward every day highlights infrastructure needs
Among the major demands raised by residents was the construction of internal cement concrete roads in Pudur village.
People also sought widening and improvement of Roads and Buildings Department roads to ease traffic movement and enhance connectivity in the area.
Residents requested uninterrupted drinking water supply and the construction of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) at identified locations to prevent pollution of nearby water bodies.
They also sought the construction of an additional Overhead Water Tank (OHT) to address increasing water requirements.
During the visit, citizens stressed the importance of improving civic infrastructure to support future growth and ensure better living conditions.
One ward every day addresses lake protection concerns
Residents expressed concern over the condition of local water bodies and sought measures for their protection and development.
They requested strengthening and development of bunds at Erram Cheruvu and Mothulakunta Cheruvu to conserve water resources, improve environmental sustainability and prevent encroachments.
In addition, citizens called for installation of more streetlights in underserved areas to improve safety, visibility and convenience for commuters and residents.
The Commissioner directed officials to conduct detailed assessments of all issues brought to their attention.
She instructed departments to coordinate with one another, prepare action plans and prioritise critical works for implementation in a phased and time-bound manner.
Reaffirming the objectives of the One ward every day initiative, Srijana said the programme was designed to strengthen direct public engagement, identify local priorities through field inspections and ensure coordinated action for ward-level development.
She said continuous interaction with citizens and regular field monitoring would help improve civic infrastructure, strengthen service delivery and enhance the quality of life across Cyberabad Municipal Corporation limits.
