Water supply to be disrupted in 18 Hyderabad divisions on Nov 26

Hyderabad: Municipal authorities have announced a temporary water supply disruption in multiple areas of Hyderabad on Wednesday, November 26, due to scheduled maintenance and electricity shutdowns at key water pumping stations.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) said water supply from Krishna Phase-1, 2, and 3 will be affected for six hours, starting from 10 AM to 4 PM. The Telangana State Transmission Corporation (TG Transco) will cut power to the Nasarlapally water board pumping stations during this period for maintenance of 132 kV substation bulk feeders and replacement of damaged current transformers (CTs).

Water supply disruption in Hyderabad to affect 18 divisions

Due to the electricity shutdown, water supply will be partially interrupted in the divisions linked to the Krishna Phase water lines. Consumers in affected areas have been advised to use water judiciously during the outage.

The following 18 Operation and Maintenance (O&M) divisions will be impacted:

  1. Charminar (Division 1)
  2. Vinay Nagar (Division 2)
  3. Bhoiguda (Division 3)
  4. Red Hills (Division 4)
  5. Narayanaguda (Division 5)
  6. S.R. Nagar (Division 6)
  7. Maredpally (Division 7)
  8. Riyasat Nagar (Division 8)
  9. Kukatpally (Division 9)
  10. Saheb Nagar (Division 10)
  11. Hayathnagar (Division 11)
  12. Sainikpuri (Division 13)
  13. Uppal (Division 14)
  14. Hafeezpet (Division 15)
  15. Rajendranagar (Division 16)
  16. Manikonda (Division 18)
  17. Boduppal (Division 19)
  18. Meerpet (Division 20)

HMWSSB officials urged residents in these areas to store water in advance and limit usage until normal supply resumes.
