Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy has promised swift action to resolve long-standing civic problems in Balaji Nagar Phase–2 of the Boduppal–Medipally area. She gave this assurance during a meeting with local residents at her camp office in Tarnaka on Thursday.
Drainage cleanup, road work to begin soon
Residents raised issues including blocked drainage lines, delayed box drain construction, and poor road conditions. In response, the Deputy Mayor said she would direct engineering officials to start drain cleaning and road repairs immediately. She also asked them to complete the unfinished box drain works without further delay.
Srilatha explained that the ongoing GHMC merger would streamline infrastructure development. She said officials would address all pending works in a phased manner, starting with critical areas.
Deputy Mayor promises accountability
Reiterating her commitment to public service, Srilatha said she would personally track the progress of these civic works. She stressed the need for transparent handling of grievances and regular follow-up with officials.
TTUC state president Mothe Shoban Reddy joined the meeting in support of the residents. Balaji Nagar Welfare Association Phase–2 President Murali Chowdary, along with members Mahesh, Swaroop Goud, Rakesh Reddy, Shekhar Goud, Raju, and Sridhar Reddy, thanked the Deputy Mayor for her quick response.
