HYDRAA safeguards 13 acres of government land in Nizampet

Hyderabad: HYDRAA safeguarded 13 acres of government land in Nizampet village of Bachupally mandal in Medchal–Malkajgiri district on Friday following complaints of large-scale encroachment.

Officials estimated the value of the protected HYDRAA government land at nearly ₹1,300 crore. Revenue officials from Bachupally mandal approached HYDRAA after reporting encroachments in Survey Nos. 186, 191 and 334.

According to the complaint, encroachers had already occupied portions of the land. Therefore, revenue authorities requested immediate fencing to prevent further illegal occupation.

Acting on the directions of HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, IPS, HYDRAA officials conducted a field inspection along with revenue officials. During the inspection, they confirmed that four acres of government land in Survey No. 334 had already been encroached upon and permanent houses had come up.

However, HYDRAA officials avoided disturbing existing residential structures. Instead, they focused on securing the remaining 13 acres of HYDRAA government land.

Officials removed temporary sheds erected on the land. Subsequently, HYDRAA completed fencing around the entire 13-acre stretch to prevent further encroachments.

In addition, HYDRAA installed official boards identifying the site as government land. Officials said these measures would help protect the property from future illegal claims.

Revenue officials welcomed the swift action and said the fencing would secure valuable public land in a fast-developing area.
