Phule statues unveiling preparations enter final stage in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Preparations for the Phule statues unveiling in Hyderabad entered the final stage, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will unveil the statues on August 14 at 4 pm.

Officials are installing the statues of social reformers Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule opposite the HMDA Grounds. Ponnam Prabhakar inspected the site and reviewed the final arrangements for the programme.

During the inspection, the minister gave several instructions to GHMC and HMDA officials. Subsequently, he reviewed preparedness with officials from the BC Welfare Department, GHMC and HMDA at the Ministers’ Quarters.

Phule statues unveiling requires inter-department coordination

Ponnam Prabhakar directed all departments to coordinate closely and ensure smooth conduct of the programme. Moreover, he asked officials to complete all necessary arrangements for the event.

The minister instructed the departments to organise the Phule statues unveiling on a grand scale. At the same time, he called for wider public participation in the programme.

In addition, Ponnam Prabhakar asked local MLAs and other elected representatives in Hyderabad to mobilise people for the event. He urged them to encourage wider participation in the unveiling ceremony.

Meanwhile, the minister appealed to leaders of BC organisations across Telangana to attend in large numbers. He also invited representatives of various caste associations to participate in the programme.

Furthermore, Ponnam Prabhakar asked officials, elected representatives and participating organisations to coordinate their efforts. He said their collective efforts should ensure the successful conduct of the event.

Phule statues unveiling scheduled for 4 pm

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will formally unveil the statues of Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule at 4 pm on August 14. Ahead of the ceremony, Ponnam Prabhakar reviewed the remaining preparations with GHMC and HMDA officials.

Meanwhile, organisers expect leaders of BC organisations and representatives of various communities from across Telangana to attend the Phule statues unveiling. Therefore, the minister directed the departments concerned to complete their preparations and coordinate arrangements ahead of the scheduled ceremony.
