KCR extends Telangana State Formation Day greetings

Hyderabad: Extending Telangana State Formation Day greetings, Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and former Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao paid tribute to the martyrs of the Telangana movement. He also conveyed his wishes to people of the state and Telangana natives living across the world.

KCR recalled the sacrifices made during the struggle for statehood. According to him, Telangana emerged through a democratic movement and a peaceful parliamentary process. He added that people achieved the state after overcoming decades of injustice and several obstacles.

KCR stated that Telangana suffered discrimination under the united administration. However, self-rule changed the state’s course. He further said that progressive governance answered critics who had questioned Telangana’s viability.

Telangana State Formation Day marks decade of growth

Referring to Telangana State Formation Day, KCR said the state achieved welfare and development across sectors within a decade. Moreover, he claimed Telangana emerged as the leading state in the country during that period.

Progress in irrigation, drinking water, electricity, agriculture, education and healthcare set an example for the nation, he said. In addition, KCR credited the BRS government for those achievements.

The BRS leader said the previous administration transformed vast stretches of land into fertile farmland. He stated that the government helped expand cultivation across one crore acres. Consequently, Telangana developed into a land of agricultural abundance during that period.

KCR urged people to protect Telangana’s identity and progress. At the same time, he warned that the gains achieved over the years should not face setbacks. Safeguarding Telangana remains a shared responsibility, he said.

Reiterating the party’s commitment, KCR said the BRS would continue to stand by Telangana. Furthermore, he maintained that the present government must uphold the spirit of the statehood movement. The administration should also carry forward the reconstruction efforts of the past decade, he added.

Calling for people-centric governance, KCR urged the government to improve living standards across all sections. He also asked it to honour promises made to the public. According to KCR, fulfilling those commitments sincerely would strengthen public confidence.

KCR also asked the government to protect farmers’ welfare. Besides, he stressed the need to support agricultural growth on a continuous basis.

On Telangana State Formation Day, KCR expressed hope that the state would continue on the path of development. Finally, he wished prosperity, happiness, good health and well-being for farmers, workers and all sections of society.
