Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to begin this year’s Telangana Formation Day celebrations early in the morning because of the prevailing extreme heat conditions across the state.
The Chief Minister ordered that the official Formation Day programme at the Parade Grounds start at 8:30 AM on June 2. He also instructed officials to complete the entire event within one and a half hours.
According to the directions, the programme will include the national flag hoisting and other Telangana Formation Day ceremonies. The government decided to advance the schedule to reduce the impact of high temperatures on participants and visitors.
Telangana Formation Day programme to conclude within 90 minutes
Revanth Reddy advised officials to ensure that all arrangements were completed within the shortened schedule. He said the celebrations, including the flag-hoisting ceremony and related events, should conclude within 90 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asked officials to put in place suitable measures for the comfort of guests and members of the public attending the Formation Day celebrations. The instructions came amid continuing hot weather conditions in the state.
