Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the progress of the Musi Riverfront Project and issued key directions on rehabilitation, land acquisition and public outreach during a meeting at the MCR HRD Bodhi Pavilion.
During the review of the project’s first phase, the Chief Minister directed officials to allot double-bedroom houses to families living in the Musi riverbed.
He also instructed officials to offer affected landowners either Transferable Development Rights (TDR) or monetary compensation based on their preference.
The Chief Minister asked the state government to relocate structures standing on defence land required for the Gandhi Sarovar project.
Musi Riverfront Project to include public experience centre
Revanth Reddy also proposed setting up a Musi Experience Center on Necklace Road. The centre will provide visitors with detailed information about the Musi Riverfront Project.
He said the centre should showcase the planned works and collect public feedback and suggestions.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Musi Riverfront Development Project Managing Director Narsimha Reddy, MRDCL Joint Managing Director Gauthami, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, CMO Secretary Manik Raj and senior Municipal Administration officials attended the review meeting.
