Hyderabad: Two people died in an AMB Flyover crash on Friday morning after a scooter allegedly travelled in the wrong direction and collided head-on with a motorcycle under the Gachibowli Police Station limits.
According to police, a Royal Enfield motorcycle was travelling from Gachibowli towards Hafizpet when a scooter suddenly approached from the opposite direction in violation of traffic rules. The vehicles collided at high speed, throwing the riders onto the road.
The scooter rider, Srikanth, and pillion rider, Vithal, suffered severe head and body injuries. Both died at the scene. Vinod, who was riding the Royal Enfield, sustained minor injuries.
AMB Flyover crash under investigation
Gachibowli Police reached the accident spot soon after receiving information. Officers shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination and registered a case.
Furthermore, police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
