BJP announces Nitin Nabin’s Telangana organisational tour

Hyderabad: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao on Friday announced that BJP national president Nitin Nabin would undertake a three-day organisational tour of Telangana from June 28. He said the visit reflected the party leadership’s focus on strengthening the BJP’s grassroots network in the state.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, Ramchander Rao said the party aimed to expand its organisational base with the objective of bringing the BJP to power in Telangana. He added that the national leadership had attached special importance to the state.

Nitin Nabin Telangana tour includes key meetings

According to Ramchander Rao, Nitin Nabin will virtually inaugurate new BJP district offices from the party’s Ranga Reddy district office. He will also address a meeting of booth presidents from the GHMC area at the Hyderabad Exhibition Grounds.

Furthermore, the BJP national president will hold a meeting with MPs, MLAs and MLCs at the state party office. On the second day, he will interact with students, tribal communities and party workers in Warangal.

The tour will conclude with the BJP State Working Committee meeting at Ghatkesar before Nitin Nabin returns to New Delhi. Party leaders said the visit was intended solely to strengthen the organisation and was not linked to any election campaign.

Nitin Nabin Telangana tour announced amid political criticism

During the press conference, Ramchander Rao also criticised AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and the Congress. He alleged that both parties were spreading misinformation on citizenship and voter registration issues.

Referring to a Bombay High Court judgment, he reiterated that a passport was a travel document and not conclusive proof of citizenship. He also claimed that only Indian citizens were entitled to voting rights and accused the Congress and AIMIM of creating confusion over the voter registration process.

BJP Telangana general secretary Virender Goud, state treasurer Devaki Vasudeva Rao, state media in-charge and chief spokesperson N.V. Subhash, and other party leaders attended the press conference.
