Telangana to launch integrated sub-registrar offices, first foundation in Gachibowli

Hyderabad: Telangana government is set to reorganise sub-registrar offices across the state with corporate-grade, permanent buildings. The initiative aims to streamline land registration services and improve public access through centralised, transparent facilities.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced the plan after a review with officials at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat. He said construction will begin with an integrated sub-registrar office at the TALIM campus in Gachibowli, which will serve as a model centre.

Out of 144 sub-registrar offices in the state, only 37 operate from government-owned buildings. The rest function from rented premises. To change this, the state plans nine integrated complexes across four districts:

  • Hyderabad: 2 sites for 11 offices

  • Ranga Reddy: 3 sites for 14 offices

  • Medchal: 3 sites for 12 offices

  • Sangareddy–Patancheru: 1 shared site

In the first phase, offices at Gandipet, Serilingampally, Rajendranagar, and Balanagar will be moved into a unified facility at Gachibowli. Officials are working with district collectors to finalise land parcels.

Ponguleti said the move aligns with CM Revanth Reddy’s vision of citizen-focused governance. “These offices will reduce corruption, speed up document processing, and improve supervision,” he said.
