Hyderabad: The Karimnagar Collectorate inauguration will take place later this month, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy set to open the newly constructed administrative complex, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said.
The Chief Minister will also launch several development projects related to the Municipal Administration Department and Satavahana University during his visit.
Ponnam Prabhakar inspected the new Collectorate building along with District Collector Chitra Mishra.
He reviewed various sections of the complex and issued directions to officials.
The minister said the new facility would serve as the administrative hub of the district.
Karimnagar Collectorate inauguration to coincide with development projects
According to Ponnam Prabhakar, construction of the building had remained incomplete for several years due to various reasons.
However, he said Collector Chitra Mishra took special initiative to expedite and complete the remaining works.
The minister said the government equipped the complex with modern facilities, technological infrastructure and citizen-friendly services.
He added that the Chief Minister would unveil a Telangana Thalli statue and hoist the National Flag during the inauguration ceremony.
Further, the government plans to bring several district-level offices into a single campus after the Collectorate becomes operational.
Meanwhile, the minister said SUDA had developed extensive greenery and landscaping across the premises.
He expressed confidence that the complex would emerge as a model government office campus in the state.
Ponnam Prabhakar said the new Collectorate would strengthen the delivery of welfare and development programmes.
He also reiterated the government’s commitment to developing Karimnagar beyond political considerations.
Further, he said the government was focusing on industrial growth, tourism, education and healthcare in the district.
The minister noted that Satavahana University was receiving special attention, with the establishment of law and pharmacy colleges expanding higher education opportunities.
He added that the government had upgraded the medical college into a teaching hospital and would soon operationalise the helipad at the Collectorate complex.
Meanwhile, authorities are accelerating the second phase of the Manair Riverfront project and seeking Central assistance for relocating the dump yard.
The minister said all development initiatives in the district aim to improve public services and living standards.
