SIR voter enrolment exercise to begin on June 25, CEO stresses technology use

Hyderabad: State Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy directed officials to extensively use technology in the SIR voter enrolment exercise scheduled to begin on June 25.

He said digital tools would help authorities conduct the voter registration process efficiently and without errors.

Addressing district and mandal-level master trainers, IT support teams and data operators through a video conference, the CEO stressed the need for transparency at every stage of the exercise.

According to him, technology would play a crucial role in preparing accurate electoral rolls.

Sudarshan Reddy urged voters to use the voter.eci.gov.in portal to complete their enumeration online.

Meanwhile, he said the Election Commission of India had introduced ECINET and the BLO App to simplify field-level operations.

According to him, the platforms include multiple tools that can accelerate the registration process and improve efficiency.

Further, he instructed master trainers and IT support teams to provide detailed training to data operators.

Additionally, he directed officials to create awareness among voters about online enumeration facilities.

Meanwhile, State Training Nodal Officer B. Chennayya explained the various stages of the SIR process during the training session.

Further, PM-IT D. Chiranjeevi provided technical guidance on the use of ECINET and the BLO App.

The session covered voter mapping, enumeration forms, classification of uncollected forms and related procedures.

Meanwhile, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vasam Venkateshwar Reddy, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer (FAC) A.S. Charil, nodal officers and other officials attended the programme.
