Media Academy to hold SIR awareness programme for journalists on June 22

Hyderabad: Telangana Media Academy will organise a SIR awareness programme for journalists on June 22 to explain the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The programme will begin at 11 am on Monday at the Media Academy Auditorium on Chapel Road in Nampally. The Academy is organising the event in coordination with officials from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana.

The session aims to familiarise journalists with the electoral roll revision process and its implementation.

SIR awareness programme to focus on voter roll revision

Meanwhile, officials from the Chief Electoral Officer’s office will explain the objectives and procedures of the Special Intensive Revision exercise.

They will also discuss voter registration, electoral roll corrections, public participation and other aspects of the revision process.

In addition, journalists can interact directly with officials and seek clarifications on issues related to the revision programme.

The programme will conclude at 1 pm.

The Academy asked interested journalists to register by sending their names to WhatsApp number 7093600977 before 1 pm on June 20.

Officials said journalists must complete registration before the deadline to attend the programme.
