Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R.V. Karnan directed election officials to ensure the smooth implementation of the SIR EF Form Distribution process during a review meeting held at the GHMC head office.
The meeting brought together all 15 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 93 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), 15 District Trainers and 406 Booth Level Officer (BLO) Supervisors to review preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Karnan stressed the need for meticulous planning and instructed officials to ensure the timely distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms (EFs) from eligible voters.
SIR EF Form Distribution to ensure complete voter coverage
The District Election Officer issued detailed instructions on distributing Enumeration Forms, collecting completed forms and verifying the information furnished by electors. He also directed officials to upload voter data accurately through the BLO App.
Furthermore, Karnan asked election staff to coordinate closely with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to promote transparency and achieve complete voter coverage during the revision process.
He also sensitised officials on the standard operating procedures prescribed for the Special Intensive Revision.
SIR EF Form Distribution requires strict compliance
Karnan explained the do’s and don’ts for Booth Level Officers and Supervisors during the exercise. He emphasised impartiality, professionalism and accuracy while carrying out voter verification.
Moreover, he instructed officials to strictly follow the Election Commission’s guidelines and complete every assigned responsibility within the prescribed timeline.
The Commissioner said proper execution of the SIR EF Form Distribution process would help ensure an accurate and transparent electoral roll revision across the GHMC limits.
