Hyderabad: District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan inspected SIR notice distribution in Nampally Assembly constituency and reviewed the progress of the field-level exercise.
Karnan, an IAS officer, visited CIB Quarters at AC Guards, under Polling Station No. 1. He examined the ongoing distribution of Special Intensive Revision notices and interacted with election field teams.
During the inspection, the Commissioner issued instructions for systematic distribution of notices. He also directed teams to communicate clearly with electors and provide timely assistance during the exercise.
SIR notice distribution reviewed with field teams
Karnan interacted with local residents during the visit and explained the importance of the Special Intensive Revision exercise. He advised electors to carefully verify the details mentioned in their notices.
Moreover, he asked citizens to complete the required process within the prescribed timeline. Electors who needed clarification were advised to approach their concerned Booth Level Officers.
The BLOs would assist citizens with queries related to forms, required documents and the submission process. The Commissioner stressed that field teams should respond promptly to questions raised by citizens.
He also called for proper coordination among officials involved in SIR notice distribution. In addition, Karnan directed teams to effectively facilitate eligible electors during the revision exercise.
The Commissioner said these measures were required to ensure that the SIR process proceeded smoothly and transparently.
