GHMC Prajavani receives 65 public grievances

Hyderabad: The GHMC Prajavani grievances programme received 65 public complaints during a grievance hearing conducted at the GHMC Head Office on Monday.

GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS, attended the programme along with senior civic officials. Additional Commissioner (Admin), Additional Commissioner (Health and Sanitation), Chief Engineer, Chief City Planner, Director (UBD), Joint Commissioner (Admin), Chief Valuation Officer, Land Acquisition officials and Additional CCP participated in the hearing.

According to officials, the Head Office received the highest number of complaints with 30 grievances registered during the programme.

Khairatabad Zone recorded 14 grievances, while Shamshabad Zone received 10 complaints. Secunderabad Zone registered six grievances and Rajendranagar Zone received five complaints.

Meanwhile, Charminar Zone and Golconda Zone did not receive any grievances during the Prajavani programme.

Senior GHMC officials reviewed the complaints submitted by citizens at the public hearing.

Officials said the Prajavani programme aimed to address civic grievances raised by residents from different zones across Hyderabad.

The programme was conducted at the GHMC Head Office in the presence of department heads and administrative officials to ensure coordination on pending civic issues.

The Head Office accounted for nearly half of the total grievances received during the programme.

Officials monitored zone-wise complaints and reviewed issues linked to administration, sanitation, planning and civic services.

The GHMC regularly conducts the Prajavani grievance programme to provide residents direct access to senior civic officials.
