Hyderabad: State Excise and Prohibition Minister and district in-charge minister Jupally Krishna Rao inaugurated newly constructed Indiramma houses in Rimma village of Sirikonda mandal in Adilabad district and assured that welfare benefits would reach every eligible family.
The minister visited the village on Saturday and inspected houses allotted to beneficiary families.
He interacted with beneficiaries and said the government remained committed to fulfilling the housing needs of poor families.
Jupally said tribal communities preserve rich traditions and values that serve as an example to society.
Moreover, he stated that the government was implementing welfare programmes without discrimination.
Indiramma houses project covers 69 families in Rimma village
Addressing a public meeting, the minister said the government selected Rimma village as a pilot project under the housing programme.
He stated that authorities had already completed construction of 69 Indiramma houses in the village.
Further, he said the government would sanction additional houses for other eligible families.
Additionally, the minister assured villagers that officials would take steps to construct a BT road for the village.
Meanwhile, Jupally announced Rs 10 lakh for the construction of a library.
He also urged rural students to pursue higher education and build successful careers.
Further, the minister advised parents to pay special attention to their children’s education.
In addition, he reiterated that the government would provide new ration cards and social security pensions to all eligible beneficiaries.
He added that the administration remained committed to ensuring that welfare schemes reached every deserving family.
Meanwhile, Khanapur MLA Vedma Bhojju Patel said the government was giving priority to the development of remote villages.
He stated that the Indiramma housing programme was helping fulfil the dream of home ownership for poor families.
Additionally, the MLA said the government was strengthening road, electricity and drinking water infrastructure in rural areas.
He further noted that officials were monitoring welfare schemes to ensure benefits reached the last eligible beneficiary.
District Collector Rajarshi Shah, SP Akhil Mahajan, local representatives, officials and villagers attended the programme.
