Hyderabad: The Telangana government inaugurated a new ₹20 crore Minority Residential School and College for boys in Adilabad. The government said quality education and modern infrastructure for minority students remained a key priority.
State Excise, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao inaugurated the new campus at Bangaruguda. Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, Government Adviser Shabbir Ali and Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society Chairman and Vice Chairman Faheem Qureshi joined him.
Minority Residential School offers modern facilities
The ministers inspected classrooms, hostel rooms, the dining hall and other facilities. They said the government continued to improve educational infrastructure across the state.
Jupally Krishna Rao urged minority students to use education as a tool for success. He also asked them to make full use of the opportunities created by the government.
Moreover, he said Telangana remained committed to equal educational opportunities. The government would also strengthen minority educational institutions across the state.
The minister said the government focused on quality education, safe hostels and better teaching facilities. As a result, students from rural areas would gain more opportunities in higher education.
Minority Residential School supports greener campuses
After the inauguration, the ministers planted saplings on the campus. They also urged people to plant and protect trees to support environmental conservation.
The programme drew several public representatives and officials. These included MP G. Nagesh, MLA Payal Shankar, Municipal Chairperson Bandari Anusha, District Collector Rajarshi Shah and Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan. Teachers, students and other officials also attended the event.
