Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extends Telangana Formation Day greetings

Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended Telangana Formation Day greetings to people of the state and Telangana natives living across the world. He described the occasion as a celebration of sacrifice, democratic resolve and collective aspiration.

In his message on the state’s formation anniversary, the Governor paid tribute to martyrs and movement activists. He said their sacrifices and struggles contributed to the creation of Telangana. According to him, the day symbolised the success of a prolonged democratic movement.

Shukla said Telangana had emerged as one of India’s youngest states. At the same time, it had established a distinct identity at the national and global levels. He added that the state had combined its rich heritage with a modern outlook.

The Governor highlighted Telangana’s growth in information technology and pharmaceutical manufacturing. He also pointed to Hyderabad’s emergence as a leading destination for investments and innovation.

Telangana Formation Day greetings highlight state’s growth

Referring to infrastructure development, Shukla said the expansion of the Metro Rail network reflected the state’s development vision. He also cited the proposed Future City project as an example of long-term planning.

According to the Governor, Hyderabad had evolved into a safe and progressive cosmopolitan city. He said people from different cultures were contributing to its growth.

Shukla also highlighted Telangana’s strategic location in the heart of India. He noted that the state had strengthened its position as a gateway for trade, logistics and investment.

The Governor praised Telangana’s cultural and spiritual heritage. He referred to the UNESCO-listed Ramappa Temple and the legacy of the Kakatiya dynasty. He also mentioned pilgrimage centres such as Yadadri and Bhadrachalam.

Shukla said the Godavari and Krishna rivers contributed to the state’s agricultural prosperity. He added that they enhanced Telangana’s natural beauty.

Calling for collective effort, the Governor urged citizens to preserve the state’s cultural heritage. Furthermore, he appealed to people to strengthen national unity and work towards the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”.

He expressed confidence that Telangana would continue contributing to India’s progress. He said the state would continue to emerge as one of the country’s leading regions.
